KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah will chair a meeting of the provincial cabinet on Monday.
The provincial cabinet members will discuss setting up a desalination plant to address the water crisis in Karachi as well as matters pertaining to the Sindh Revenue Board and appointment of judges in anti-terrorism courts.
A ban on plastic bags will also be considered during the meeting.
The new Sindh cabinet was sworn in on August 19, with eight ministers and two advisers taking oath in the first phase of the cabinet formation.
Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho (Health, Population Welfare), Seth Hariram Kishorilal (Minorities Affairs, Social Welfare & Prisons), Saeed Ghani (Local Government, Public Health Engineering, Rural Development & Katchi Abadies), Mohammad Ismail Rahu (Agriculture, Supply and Prices), Mir Shabbir Ali Bijarani (Mines & Mineral Development), Makhdoom Mehboobuz Zaman (Revenue & Relief), Syed Sardar Ali Shah (Education, Culture, Tourism & Antiquities) and Shehla Raza (Women Development) formed the group of newly appointed ministers.
